This Page is for information purposes only. It has been put together at the request of parents and senior students. The students do not need to buy the majority of the equipment listed.  Although some basic equipment is required for students, this is outlined for each grade in the syllabus. This is due to safety considerations for the techniques being practiced at that grade.

Once a student pays their licence/insurance /club membership they are issued a licence book and syllabus. The syllabus contains a course outline for students from white to Black belt. This includes time requirements for grades and protective equipment needed for every grade. Please note that although you do not have to buy from the club/association if a student enters a grade without required equipment they will not be allowed to grade.

 Suits are in the Scottish Budo Association colours of red top with black bottoms, these are available from most  sports shops and online Martial Art stores. You are not required to purchase Gi's or other equipment from the club, but please note that suits etc vary in quality from supplier to supplier.
